
Departmental Leader

The Head of Department Student Services is a pivotal role in driving initiatives that support and enhance educational outcomes for all students. As the leader, you will align closely with the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division, ensuring its integration into strategic school planning and everyday practice.
As a dynamic and innovative leader, you will foster continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning, creating an environment where both students and educators can thrive. You will be instrumental in nurturing strong, positive relationships among students, teachers, and the wider community, promoting a supportive and inclusive school culture that enables every learner to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background.
- Prepare data returns for the Principal as requested.
- Develop and implement management and engagement strategies including induction activities for new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
- Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour, developing intervention strategies where necessary.
