Occupational Therapist — Senior

About the Role
- Initiate the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Provide education, direction and supervision to less experienced staff, students and support staff, regarding service provision of long-stay inpatients, with the support of the Pathways Team Leader. Where appropriate, act as primary supervisor for student training.
- Continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in performance appraisal and development plans.
- Manage an allocated clinical workload to deliver occupational therapy services to complex long-stay hospital inpatients, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures and evidence based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.
