Strategic Contracts Officer Job Description

The Department for Child Protection is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Contracts Officer to join their Procurement and Contracting team on a full-time ongoing basis.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, plan, and deliver significant strategic contract procurement programs, projects, and services that influence agency policy, operations, and service delivery.
  • Provide strategic leadership and expertise for the development, implementation, and review of DCP's procurement and contract formation processes.
  • Manage strategies and initiatives to support the creation of value-for-money opportunities.
  • Offer expert consultation to senior management and key stakeholders on complex contracting and procurement issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex procurements, leading negotiations, and developing contracts. Strong consultative, liaison, and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.
