Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support our nursing team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients with various oncological conditions.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and direct nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, to deliver patient care.
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and identify areas for improvement in patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines through ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Working with Children check.
  • Minimum 2 years recent Oncology Nursing Experience.
  • Competent in Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration.
  • Competent in IV Cannulation & Accessing of CVAD/Ports.
  • ADAC trained and certified.
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
