Senior Financial Manager Position

A leading consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in working with clients to achieve business and personal goals.

The consultancy has invested heavily in technology, offshore staff, and a dedicated marketing function, freeing up time for the successful candidate to focus on client work and problem-solving.

The Role:

  • Work closely with a Director to manage a portfolio of clients and provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Develop and implement financial budgets, forecasts, and three-way projections to drive business growth.
  • Design and oversee operational and financial KPIs, management reporting systems, and executive team reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop cost-cutting, revenue-building, and margin-enhancement strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, including business buy/sell due diligence.
  • Support the CFO in leadership, deliver training, and improve organisational financial literacy.

About You:

  • 10+ years' experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in Australian or New Zealand construction, consulting, or accounting firms.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of the building, construction & development industries.
  • Demonstrate previous success in a similar role with quantifiable impacts.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence clients.
