Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Role Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy through delivery of the long-term plan, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring consistency of reporting across all group operations.

Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead and manage the FP&A function to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting services.
  • Drive the reporting requirements across all business units and locations.
  • Develop and present detailed reports and dashboards to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Guide and oversee scoping of new reports and report changes with report owners, business partners & IT.
  • Promote continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Lead the business-wide financial budget & 5-year plan process, setting deliverables and schedules with timely results.
  • Analyse financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved outcomes.
  • Provide expert business partnering to the business, explaining analysis to a diverse non-financial audience.
  • Develop and deliver financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification with CA/CPA is ideal.
  • A background in a similar FP&A management role within a medium to large organisation is required.
  • Mining/heavy industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in automation and driving continuous improvement across an FP&A function is essential.
  • Leadership experience in FP&A or business partnering teams is necessary.
  • Strong Excel modelling and dashboard skills are required.
  • Expert business partnering experience, including delivering financial and non-financial advice, is crucial.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence a large stakeholder group across the business is vital.
