The Role WMQ is seeking an accomplished and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join the Executive Leadership Team and help shape the organisation's next decade of growth, transformation and community impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will serve as a trusted strategic partner and advisor, playing a pivotal role in advancing WMQ's mission through sound financial stewardship, forward-thinking business modelling and pragmatic investment leadership.
This role is more than numbers; it's about contributing to a values-led organisation with commercial maturity and long-term impact at its core.
The CFO will oversee financial strategy, external audit, and strategic and operational performance reporting, leading a high performing finance team and ensuring WMQ continues to grow its commercial acumen, decision making agility and operational excellence.
Working across a complex and multi-faceted service environment, the CFO will bring clarity to performance, elevate financial capability and support organisational reform to meet the needs of WMQ's customers and communities.
Over the next decade, the CFO will play an integral and dynamic role as a trusted partner to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, driving forward the bold ambitions of a new strategic direction.
Together, we will champion innovation, ignite progress, and unlock new possibilities, ensuring that every step taken propels the organisation toward a future defined by lasting impact and success.

The successful candidate will bring strategic foresight, deep experience in finance leadership within large, complex organisations, ideally with exposure to for-purpose or human services sectors.
