Job Description

As a Grade 5 Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing safe and competent clinical nursing care to residents within our facilities.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring resident safety and wellbeing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical care, including medication administration and advice to care staff.
  • Monitor, report, and mitigate clinical events, such as unintentional weight loss, falls, pressure injuries, and antipsychotic usage.
  • Manage and coordinate health-related appointments, clinical investigations, and resident reviews, with accurate documentation.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Lead care teams and direct the practice of care in response to best practice and consumer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation, including ANACC documentation and adherence to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
Quality Improvement and Risk Management:
  • Maintain quality systems, including infection control, rotation of stock, and safety of hazardous materials.
  • Clinical events should align with or improve upon state levels.
Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to deliver best practice, including attending meetings, workshops, forums, and completing education modules and continuing professional development requirements.
