At our esteemed organization, we are seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to join our team in delivering high-standard care to residents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical nursing care, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct and indirect clinical care, including medication administration and guidance to care staff.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and mitigating clinical events such as unintentional weight loss, falls, pressure injuries, and antipsychotic usage.
  • Coordinating health-related appointments, clinical investigations, and resident reviews.
  • Engaging in reflective, interpretative, and analytical practice and thinking.
  • Collaborating with residents, their families, and community, as well as the broader team and other health professionals, to plan, implement, and evaluate integrated care.

Leadership and Guidance

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to direct and indirect care staff and students, in consultation with the Associate Director of Clinical Services.

Quality and Safety

The incumbent will maintain quality systems, including infection control, rotation of stock, and safety of hazardous materials.

Professional Development

Opportunities for ongoing professional development and growth are available, with attendance and participation in meetings, workshops, forums, and other communication events, as delegated.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet the criteria of the After-Hours Co-ordinator.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with a Board-approved qualification in medicines administration.
  • Previous experience in Aged Care, supported by well-developed and contemporary clinical skills and knowledge.
