**Job Opportunity:** Senior Strategic Sourcing Lead

**Location:** Melbourne, AU

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced strategic sourcing leader to join our team. As a senior manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the procurement function, equipping and educating staff to improve consistency and effectiveness, and reduce risk.

The ideal candidate will have overarching responsibility for strategy, driving the procurement framework, integrating decision-making, systems, policy, and processes for the entire organisation. They will steer the organisation to adopt best-practice procurement practices through consultation, communication, education, change management, and systems improvements.

This role requires a proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, ideally within Local Government or similar government environment. The successful candidate will have excellent people leadership skills, with demonstrated experience in modernising practices, being familiar with legislated requirements and best practice.

The focus will be on balancing innovation and good governance, using strategic procurement thinking to influence and educate decision-makers, becoming a trusted adviser in a community setting. As a highly self-aware leader, they will naturally empower their team to be both strategic and effective in execution.
