The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve designing, developing, and evaluating national training programs to ensure frontline officers develop and maintain the right skills to do their jobs lawfully, safely, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business areas to identify training needs and requirements, capability and skill gaps, and appropriate learning strategies;
  • Design and develop innovative and effective learning products and solutions, including innovative training delivery methods;
  • Maintain high-quality training packages and documentation in consultation with key business stakeholders and internal and external specialists in the field;
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of learning packages;
  • Review and update training content, materials, and documentation regularly in response to continuous improvement and business changes.
Requirements
">
  • A strong background in designing, developing, or evaluating learning programs;
  • Experience working in a Learning Management System (LMS);
  • Proficiency in rapid authoring eLearn tools, such as Articulate software;
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or the ability to obtain one.
