Structural Engineer Opportunity

The Intrax Forensic Department offers a diverse range of services to various industries, including insurance, legal, asset management, and construction. As part of our team in Perth, we are seeking a forensic structural engineer to assist with site inspections, investigations, and reporting on structural failures.

Day-to-day activities will be varied and include conducting site visits, investigating and assessing failures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as preparing detailed reports outlining damage or failure causes, extent of damage, and recommended remediation strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough site inspections and investigations to identify causes of structural failures
  • Preparing comprehensive written reports detailing findings and recommendations
  • Liaising with clients to provide documentation for rectification solutions and construction issues
  • Providing technical expertise to design teams on complex projects

To succeed in this role, you will require:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience in structural engineering with strong report writing skills
  • Sound knowledge of engineering design principles and practices
  • Thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Civil or Structural (or equivalent)
