Forensic Structural Engineer

You will be sharing our vision to be the most recognised and trusted engineering consultancy specialising in Forensic Engineering and Asset Remediation.

As a forensic structural engineer, you will have a busy and varied day including daily site inspections, investigations and reporting on structural failures, with opportunities to contribute to innovative process improvements and system automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting site inspections in metropolitan and regional locations, investigating, analysing and assessing failures involving residential, commercial and industrial buildings and structures.
  • Preparing written reports detailing the cause of damage or failure, extent of damage and recommended remediation for all types of buildings and structures.
  • Assisting design teams where appropriate in providing technical expertise on complex projects.
  • Be a part of innovation activities such as process improvement and system automation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3-6 years of structural engineering experience with report writing experience.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering design principles and practices, such as footing/slab design, timber/steel residential framing design, masonry construction and civil/storm water design.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Civil or Structural (or equivalent).
  • Valid White Card and valid current driver's license.
