Bookkeeper - Accounts Payable Specialist

About The RoleThe practice is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with at least 3 years of experience and a strong understanding of GST law to manage multiple clients across various industries, bringing precision and expertise to the role.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile bank statements and financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to stakeholders.
- Process payroll, managing employee wages, taxes, and benefits, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment collections, to ensure timely and efficient financial management.
- Ensure compliance with GST law and other relevant regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Utilise MYOB or XERO accounting software effectively to manage financial transactions and reports.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proficiency in MYOB or XERO accounting software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or a related qualification, preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Single Touch Payroll (STP) and other relevant regulations, beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
