About the Role
The award-winning bookkeeping practice of Effective People is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing multiple clients across various industries, bringing precision and expertise to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to clients and stakeholders.
- Process payroll, managing employee wages, taxes, and benefits, in accordance with Single Touch Payroll (STP) regulations.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment collections, to ensure timely and accurate financial management.
- Utilize MYOB or XERO accounting software effectively to manage client financial data and ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll and bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of GST law and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MYOB or XERO accounting software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification, with a focus on financial management and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
