This role will play a key part in advancing nursing education and research at the highest level. As Professor and Discipline Lead, you will lead high-quality nursing education for the Faculty and foster strong research partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

The position involves leading the development, delivery, and enhancement of nursing education at national and international levels. You will advance the reputation of the institution through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing, ensuring alignment with national priorities and workforce needs.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering high-quality nursing education programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Fostering research collaborations with industry partners and academic institutions to advance nursing practice and policy.
  • Leading the development of curriculum and accreditation processes to ensure alignment with professional standards.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and deliver innovative teaching and learning experiences that enhance student outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Academic excellence in nursing education and research, with a national/international profile.
  • Registered Nurse eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience in curriculum development and accreditation, with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
