Academic Leadership Position in Nursing

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished academic leader to join our faculty as the Professor and Discipline Lead, Nursing. As a key member of the academic leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development, delivery, and enhancement of high-quality nursing education.

You will foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of the institution through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing. Your focus will be on ensuring alignment with national priorities, workforce needs, and our strategic goals.

The position reports to the Head of Faculty, and you will work closely with other academic leaders to achieve our vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, delivery, and enhancement of high-quality nursing education.
  • Foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of the institution.
  • Ensure alignment with national priorities, workforce needs, and our strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Nursing or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of academic excellence in nursing education and research, with a national/international profile.
  • Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Experience with curriculum accreditation and alignment with NMBA and TEQSA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
