Fraud & Scam Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fraud & Scam Officer to join our team at Westpac Group. As a Fraud & Scam Officer, you will play a key role in preventing, detecting, and responding to scams and frauds incidents conducted via online banking, telephone banking, over the counter transactions, and mobile applications across all Westpac Group brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls from customers who have been victims of fraud and scams
  • Actioning fraud alerts in a timely manner
  • Creating fraud case files with relevant information for each case
  • Identifying and recommending continuous improvement solutions to increase customer experience
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a fraud and scams/anti-crime environment is essential
  • Customer service experience in a phone-based environment is preferred but not essential
  • High attention to detail with a curious and analytical mindset
  • Experience and passion for providing consistent and superior level of customer service
  • Ability to work with multiple banking systems across various platforms
  • Knowledge of banking products and services
