Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Decision Support Specialist to join our team. As a Decision Support Specialist, you will work with adults who have impaired capacity, supporting them in making informed decisions about their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide substituted decision-making services under supervision for adults with impaired capacity, working closely with the Public Guardian and her delegates.
  • Collaborate effectively with our team to ensure the successful delivery of client services, including regular communication with families, service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other interested parties, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Liaise with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) registry, representing the Public Guardian as required in court proceedings.
  • Offer expert advice and information to the Public Guardian and her delegates on matters related to positive behavior support and restrictive practices.

Requirements:

  • Evidence accurate and up-to-date documentation of client-related activities, including QCAT reports, decision reports, visit reports, and running notes.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software systems and tools to record and manage client data.
