Senior Offender Rehabilitation Specialist

Effective Case Management is crucial in ensuring the rehabilitation of complex and high-risk offenders. As an Advanced Case Manager, you will oversee a caseload of offenders who have completed part of their sentence in custody.
You will employ evidence-based frameworks to deliver dynamic practice in case management, focusing on assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
In this role, you will also motivate and influence individuals, modelling pro-social behaviours and drawing on offender strengths-based approaches.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to strengthened through-care for offenders transitioning from prison to court orders
- Encouraging offenders to take ownership and accountability for necessary appointments with other services
- Linking offenders with alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health, housing, and medical services
- Producing written reports with analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholders and standard documents
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a non-judgemental attitude, and effective team collaboration. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are also essential.
