
Support Specialist

We are seeking a Support Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for individuals with disabilities.
About the Role:
- Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and recreational spaces.
- Ensure that all cleaning activities meet the specific needs and sensitivities of individuals with disabilities.
- Sanitation and Infection Control:
- Follow established protocols for sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a hygienic environment.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other support staff to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and support staff regarding any issues related to cleanliness or facility maintenance.
- Respect for Individual Needs:
- Demonstrate sensitivity and respect for the privacy and personal space of individuals with disabilities.
- Adapt cleaning practices to accommodate specific requirements and preferences of clients.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to minimize risks for clients, staff, and yourself.
- Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate authorities.
- Flexibility:
- Be adaptable to changes in scheduling and tasks as needed to meet the dynamic needs of the disability support services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
