About the Role

GenesisCare is seeking an experienced Legal Professional to join our General Counsel team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic and commercially focused advice on various legal issues, particularly in respect of FIRB, privacy, cyber security, and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Review and Management: Review complex contractual arrangements, including software and technology supplier contracts, to ensure compliance with GenesisCare's policies and procedures.
  2. Legal Leadership: Provide legal leadership on various transformation initiatives that involve technology change management and require multi-disciplinary team coordination.
  3. Strategic Advice: Partner with the business to provide strategic and commercially focused advice on various legal issues, particularly in respect of FIRB, privacy, cyber security, and technology.
  4. Stakeholder Relationships: Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders, including Head of Procurement, Head of IT, Head of Cyber, Head of Business Insights, Head of Physics, Head of Planning, Finance, and billing system specialists.
  5. Legal Operations: Uplift legal operations, including development of policies, procedures, tools, templates, and educational resources for the General Counsel team and the business.
  6. Reporting: Report to the board and executive committee on material projects and matters.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at a minimum, qualified to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner, and at least 6 years PQE.
  2. Experience: Software & technology, privacy, and corporate M&A experience will be areas of expertise that are highly valued. Recent experience at a large domestic entity in the life sciences or health services space will be an advantage.
  3. Skills: Positive attitude, ability to work as a team player, curiosity to understand the business, and strong communication skills.
