The successful candidate will provide authoritative advice on complex legal and policy issues, lead the delivery of high-quality legal services, and appear or instruct in litigation involving highly complex matters for the department in various courts and tribunals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Strategic Legal Advice: Provide high-level briefings and correspondence reflecting a strong understanding of cross-government legal policy considerations.
- Lead Legal Services Delivery: Lead the delivery of high-quality, client-focused, and cost-effective legal services in relation to highly complex and sensitive matters.
- Appear in Litigation: Appear or instruct in litigation involving highly complex matters for the department in a wide range of courts and tribunals.
