We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Community Program Coordinator to join our team at The Manors of Mosman retirement village. As a Community Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by coordinating exciting events, activities, and services.
The OpportunityThis is a welcoming community set amongst lush and manicured gardens and grounds, conveniently located in the prestigious harbourside suburb of Mosman.
You will work collaboratively with residents to deliver a wide range of experiences including physical, social, and community-orientated activities every day, week, and month.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Coordination: Coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive, and exciting events for our residents on a regular schedule.
- Activities Programming: Deliver a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies, and enabling social connections.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders such as our Resident Committee, local businesses, and staff to deliver programs that build participation.
- Schedule Management: Create schedules for all new events and distribute newsletters highlighting upcoming events.
- Resident Support: Be the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Passion for Seniors: A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors.
- Program Coordination Experience: Previous experience in coordinating programs, events, or activities with a resident-centred approach.
- Creativity: Be creative - we want someone to create FUN events.
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (highly desired or willing to obtain).
- Clearances: Current COVID-19 Vaccinations (required) and Current Police Check clearance (required, but we can complete for you).
- Certification: Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or willing to obtain prior to commencement).
