Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Program Coordinator to lead our MyTime Programs in Gymea.

This is a casual position working school terms only. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families and children with disabilities or chronic medical conditions.

The role involves planning and delivering group sessions, facilitating relationships between parents and carers, and providing information about community services and resources.

  • Group session planning and preparation;
  • Facilitating group sessions and encouraging parent-to-parent support;
  • Providing information about community services and resources;
  • Networking with local services and organizations;
  • Data collection and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field such as family support, child development, social work, psychology, or occupational therapy;
  • Significant experience in group facilitation and family support;
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues facing parents of children with additional needs;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
