ILS/Systems Integration Lab Service Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of a Systems Integration Lab (SIL). The successful candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the SIL, including its network, infrastructure, and business applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of lab procedures, processes, and best practices that enable efficient and effective testing of software and hardware.
  • Ensure the lab environment meets all safety, security, and compliance standards, including data security, access control, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Control the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal of SIL assets.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external vendors to coordinate integration efforts, resolve technical issues, and organize logistics movements.
  • Closely work with engineering teams to ensure all components and subsystems are available and integrated according to project schedules.
  • Foster collaboration with senior leadership and security teams to achieve Authority to Operate status.
About this Role:

This role requires close working relationships with Defence business areas and industry partners to ensure the SIL's operational readiness.

The ideal candidate has experience in Systems Integration Lab environments and maintaining secure networks. Additionally, they should have knowledge of industry standards and best practices for lab operations and systems integrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in systems integration, lab management, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
