Job Summary

The Property Services Lead is a crucial role within the Emergency Communication Services department, overseeing facility management and operations to ensure seamless 24/7 functionality. This position requires expertise in processes, systems, and emergency communication services, involving coordination of facilities management, Business Continuity Plans, OH&S, security, and fire services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain facilities and critical infrastructure to ensure high availability for continuous operations; identify opportunities for service and equipment improvements to mitigate risks of equipment failure.
  • Lead, coach, and develop property service teams to enhance performance and customer outcomes through optimized systems and processes.
  • Provide strategic support and advice on property and operational matters to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and report on key performance indicators and project progress.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal departments, external partners, and contractors via effective communication and negotiation.
  • Oversee contract management, including vendor meetings, SLA/KPI monitoring, tender specifications, and expenditure tracking.
Requirements
  • Experience in project management, maintenance management, facilities management, or business management.
  • Highly organized individual with ability to prioritize competing demands in a regulated environment.
  • Qualifications/knowledge in building trades or building maintenance; experience with relevant industry standards advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to respond calmly to a demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities.
