IIQAF Labor Relations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Labor Relations Specialist to play a vital role in fostering positive relationships between our organization and our employees. As a Labor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with labor laws, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and resolving disputes between management and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Labor Relations Strategy Development: Develop and implement labor relations strategies to maintain positive employee relations and minimize labor disputes.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and recommend best practices.
  • Collective Bargaining: Negotiate collective bargaining agreements with unions to ensure fair and equitable terms for both management and employees.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate labor disputes and resolve grievances between management and employees through effective communication and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement policies and procedures that promote a positive working environment and adhere to labor laws.
  • Advice and Guidance: Advise management on labor relations issues and provide guidance on disciplinary actions, performance management, and other employee-related matters.
  • Staying Current: Stay updated on emerging labor relations trends and proactively recommend innovative approaches to improve employee relations and enhance organizational performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in labor relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Labor Relations Specialist or a similar role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and mediation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to resolve conflicts in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
