La Trobe University seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director, HR Services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR and will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team in maintaining and enhancing the University's employee-related information and particularly the HR Systems, payroll compliance, and payroll processing.

The position will involve playing a key role in the development, implementation, and operationalisation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Director, HR Services will develop and implement a yearly HR Systems Operational Plan focused on covering all aspects of environment management, system maintenance and upgrades, and appropriate disaster recovery strategy planning for business continuity.

The successful candidate will also produce and maintain documented frameworks that describe the HR systems technical environment and processes to ensure appropriate HR system governance. High-level analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, as well as ability to work with quantitative and qualitative information, are required.

Role Requirements
  1. HR Systems Expertise: Strong background in HR systems and payroll compliance.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience in leading teams and managing staff performance, development, and culture.
  3. Business Continuity: Ability to develop and implement plans to mitigate risks to HR systems and ensure business continuity.
  4. Technical Environment: Ability to produce and maintain documented frameworks that describe the HR systems technical environment and processes.
