As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will lead the organisation in the delivery of business aligned HR solutions and services. As a true business partner – you will work closely with the management team(s) ensuring risk mitigation, business continuity, effective workforce management and compliance. Defining, developing and implementing human resources plans/programs to drive business outcomes will also be a key focus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the HR partnership with the business(s) contributing to and implementing the HR programs, policies and processes aligned to the organisation, HR strategy and local legal requirements.
  • Manage the business implementation of key HR initiatives and based on the successful candidate's core strengths may include a 'SME' lead role across one or more of the following: performance management; workforce management; workforce capability; talent management; organisational design + effectiveness, and leadership & development programs.
  • Actively managing change to ensure the successful delivery of strategic HR programs.
  • Drive the ongoing development of our people managers and employee capabilities to meet the workforce requirements and ensure effective succession planning.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the employee engagement action plans in conjunction with the business.
  • Promote and foster a performance culture of accountability and ownership of delivery, championing the company's core values to facilitate continuous improvement learning & performance.
  • Leading by example, promote and foster a performance culture to drive accountability and organisational core values.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Human Resources, Business Management, Organisational Psychology or related field.
  • Solid experience in ER gained in a unionised and complex environment will be highly regarded for this role.
  • Combined with advanced subject matter knowledge across the function and advanced people management skills.
  • Significant experience in a broad range of HR disciplines including staffing, learning and development, operations, people and culture, compensation and benefits, employee relations, employment law, recruitment and performance management and/or expert knowledge of HR and employment legislations in related, blue collar, transformative sector, requiring significant change.
  • Problem solving, technical and analytical skills to support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and programs. Good interpersonal skills to engage with, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Persuading & influencing, including shaping conversations, promoting ideas, negotiating and maintaining networks.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities and be able to flexible adapt to changing work demands and circumstances.
