Overview

SIG is seeking a highly skilled Technical Infrastructure Strategist to join our projects team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering technical infrastructure projects that span regions, teams, and domains. You will work closely with external partners, business teams, and technical leaders to assess requirements, create project plans, coordinate delivery, facilitate production handover, and communicate project milestones.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive Documentation Efforts: Understand, clarify, and translate project requirements into executable tasks.
  • Act as a Technical Influencer: Contribute to the design of infrastructure solutions, influencing and co-designing innovative approaches.
  • Lead Project Teams: Engage stakeholders and team members, challenging existing processes and driving positive change.
  • Organize Projects: Ensure attention to detail, track tasks and dependencies, and maintain project momentum.
  • Making Decisions: Suggest and introduce solutions or partner initiatives to move forward projects.
  • Proactive Approach: Propose improvements and initiate new projects, driving continuous growth and innovation.

You will partner with global and regional technical and infrastructure teams, as well as related line of business teams. Projects will focus on large-scale technical infrastructure implementations, upgrades, and integrations across the SIG environment to support our Asian Trading business. These projects will primarily focus on infrastructure areas spanning low-latency exchange connectivity to corporate backbone networks. Strong knowledge of the project lifecycle will be crucial in analyzing, coordinating, and maintaining tasks within these projects.

A background from financial services, datacentre infrastructure, service or telecommunication providers, as well as sales or network engineering, is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing application and/or systems implementation and technical business analysis/project management services.
  • Strong problem-solving experience required.
  • Skills in systems analysis to understand system functions and their inter-dependencies.
  • Ability to analyze, map, and validate complicated datasets.
  • Flexibility to take on tasks at short notice and handle multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of any scripting or programming languages to analyze and interrogate data is a plus.
  • Experience with agile and/or waterfall project management and software development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and organize own work.
  • Bachelor's degree or similar experience level in a technical discipline.
