
Expert Commercial Negotiator

As a Senior Commercial Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert commercial and external interface support to our operated assets. You will report directly to the Operated Joint Venture Manager and be responsible for managing investments across a diverse portfolio of joint ventures.
This position is a unique opportunity to impact high-value projects with total contract values often exceeding $100 million. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to determine our commercial position, prepare, negotiate, and implement commercial agreements with joint venture partners.
Additionally, you will lead the review and quantitative analysis of proposed projects to determine joint venture impact/opportunity, analyze complex issues, and deliver solutions on technical, commercial, and logistical issues faced by the relevant joint venture.
Supporting the resolution of disputes through joint venture dispute processes is also an essential part of this role. You will provide commercial agreement advice and support to our operated assets to help them deliver on commitments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, commerce, or related disciplines
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills including dispute resolution
- Knowledge of Australian oil and gas industry operations including establishment of unincorporated joint ventures
- Experience in managing material commercial negotiations and resulting transactions
- Experience in managing commercial contracts or joint venture agreements
