Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Medical Practitioner

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced medical practitioner to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all aspects of clinical care of patients admitted under the care of accredited medical specialists in the Critical Care Service.
  • Review urgent medical problems and provide advice and assistance with clinical matters within the hospital as requested by relevant medical specialists.
  • Commit to a team approach in the care of all patients, working with nursing staff, allied professionals, and other clinicians both on site and outside the hospital as appropriate.
  • Undertake clinical evaluation of patients as their condition requires.
  • Respond to hospital clinical emergencies as a member of the Medical Emergency Team (MET) when deployed.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner with Ahpra.
  • Ability to perform duties associated with the delivery of medical services to the Critical Care Service and provide on-site medical cover for the hospital.
