Critical Care Nursing Roles: Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis.

Our 12-bed unit provides high-quality intensive care, high dependency, and cardiac care services. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will work across a rotating roster including night shifts, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care at all times.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective nursing care plans.
  • Deliver safe, patient-centered care through accurate assessment and timely intervention.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress and care.
  • Implement medical treatment orders in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
  • Design and deliver education programs for patients and carers to promote health literacy.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need to hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and possess postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing.

A deep understanding of Australian College of Intensive Care Nurses (ACCCN) Standards of Practice for Specialist Critical Care Nurses is essential. You will also need to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills relevant to the Critical Care environment.
