Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment Contracts Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at Design & Build Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing commercial fitout and refurbishment projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, and procurement schedules.
  • Assist with progress claims and external variations, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Mentor and manage a team of Contracts Administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Review, negotiate, and finalize subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Manage and track project expenditure, including subcontractor claims, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Administer RFIs to clients, architects, and consultants, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
  • Administer the project HSE system, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in construction management or equivalent.
  • Experience financially managing commercial new build or fitout/refurb projects.
  • Knowledge of the Melbourne construction market and subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven communication skills.
  • Ability to competently lead a team financially.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in the Contracts Administrator space.
  • Experience mentoring/ managing CA's or Cadets.
  • You are an established Contracts Administrator with a goal to become a Contracts Manager/Commercial Manager in the future.
