About the Role

We are seeking a talented early career professional to develop under a senior team with a passion for planning and environment law.

The role involves working on a wide range of matters including:

  • Land and Environment Court litigation;
  • Advice on issues such as permissibility, statutory interpretation of planning instruments, development contributions, environmental law compliance, contamination;
  • Drafting planning agreements and works in kind agreements.

You will have excellent legal research and written skills, with the ability to draft legal documents appropriate to your level of experience. You will have a keen eye for detail, sound judgement, critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.

This is an opportunity to work as part of a busy but supportive team, where you can learn and grow while contributing to outstanding results for clients.

Key responsibilities include drafting documents, conducting research and analysing data. A strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations is required. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.

In addition to the above, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines. If you have a strong interest in planning and environment law, and possess excellent communication and organisational skills, we encourage you to apply.
