Nursing Director

This senior nursing leadership position is responsible for leading clinical services delivery across various wards, including medical and critical care, dialysis, cardiology, neurology, rehabilitation, intensive care, oncology, respiratory, and emergency. The successful candidate will oversee the management of over 200 beds and work closely with skilled and experienced clinical nurse managers to support the director of clinical services in coordinating and developing care delivery services.
The role encompasses strategic planning, operational management, financial management, and risk management. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of healthcare professionals to achieve excellence in customer service through continuous improvement of clinical services and care delivery.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient-focused care, exceptional service, and contemporary industry practice.
- Managing stakeholder expectations, fostering collaboration, and resolving challenging clinical scenarios.
Requirements for this role include:
- Extensive senior nursing management experience.
- Knowledge of contemporary clinical trends, legislation, and emerging challenges.
- High level of competency in concepts surrounding continuum of care and case management.
- Operational skills, including financial management, WHS knowledge, and risk management.
- Strategic planning skills, including analysis, proposal, and implementation phases.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive clinical performance through a culture of patient-focused care, exceptional service, and contemporary industry practice.
