Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a dynamic Nursing Director to lead strategic and operational excellence across our Forensic Mental Health service. This is a rare opportunity to influence the future of forensic mental health care in one of South Australia's most diverse and rapidly growing regions.

As Nursing Director, you will:

  • provide strategic leadership and governance for nursing services across Forensic Mental Health
  • champion patient-centred care, quality improvement, and workforce development
  • lead and support a team of Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Consultants, and Community Team Managers
  • collaborate across internal and external networks to promote integrated, community-focussed mental health care
  • drive innovation and change management to meet emerging service needs

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.

A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including leadership in complex health environments is essential. You must have proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage resources effectively. Expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and contemporary nursing practice and a commitment to cultural safety, equity, and respectful relationships is vital to being successful in this role.
