Lead Food and Beverage Operations

We are seeking a results-driven professional to lead our Food and Beverage department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining effective controls to ensure departmental revenue targets are met and costs are controlled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficient rostering, time management, and supervision to meet financial goals.
  • Ensure staff in the Food and Beverage areas possess knowledge of facilities, menus, and wine lists to maximize revenue from each customer.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Head Chef and café team to achieve service goals.
  • Train and up-skill Food and Beverage Staff to enhance customer experience.
  • Comply with requirements of the Sale of Liquor Act and demonstrate host responsibility.

Cost Control Strategies:

  • Implement cost controlling procedures, including management of COGS, wage controls, and stock efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections using formulated checklists to ensure stock is used and stored efficiently.
  • Develop purchasing procedures to optimize efficiencies and minimize wastage costs.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Ability to work effectively as a manager with limited supervision.
  • Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Barista training and First Aid Certificate.
