The Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Director who can demonstrate an in-depth understanding of strategic and statutory urban planning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive the growth of Urbis as NSW's pre-eminent planning consultancy offer and lead some of the state's most exciting city and community shaping projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on land use, strategic and infrastructure planning, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process, and management.
  • Contribute to the provision of expert policy advice and the development of strategies and plans.
  • Analyse and develop infrastructure and land use frameworks.
  • Lead city and community shaping thought leadership pieces.
  • Apply advanced statutory and strategic urban planning principles and methods, through comprehensive data analytics.
  • Achieve revenue targets through strong service delivery and project management.
  • Support Directors to achieve 'whole-of-office' business plan outcomes.
  • Lead strategic projects for tier 1 private and government clients.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience using data analytics to support great strategic place outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Proven track record of building new clients and business.
  • Project Management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and producing high-quality results within a consultancy.
