We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Category Marketing Specialist.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting our Sales and Marketing team. They will be responsible for managing relationships with key retail and independent customers, identifying sales and marketing opportunities, and assisting in category planning.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop product ideas, create product descriptions, and provide support for product sourcing.
  • Analyse data to drive category growth and optimize customer planograms.
  • Review customer planograms and optimize assortments.
  • Manage product registration, artwork approvals, and factory audits.
  • Maintain regular presentations on slow-moving stock, competitor analysis, and promotional recommendations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or FMCG environment, preferably in a category, sales, or marketing function.
  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Adobe platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong creative skills for point-of-sale materials and an understanding of planogram planning and execution.
