Job Title: HR Business Partner

The City of Mandurah is seeking an experienced and qualified HR Business Partner to lead our People & Culture team and drive the delivery of strategic human resources and work health and safety initiatives. In this pivotal leadership role, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with your team to develop, deliver and implement the City's human resources framework, ensuring best practice in human resources, industrial relations, and work health and safety advice across the organisation.
  • Work with the Executive Leadership Team to drive the City of Mandurah Workforce Plan to strengthen organisational capability, capacity, and culture.
  • Lead the provision of high-quality service delivery for our community, through the recruitment and development of a skilled workforce.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Significant experience as a leader within Human Resources and Organisational Development
  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and regulations and thorough knowledge of human resource management and industrial relations principles and best practices.
  • Significant experience in developing and delivering WHS strategies and plans
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of current strategic trends and issues affecting the core functions of the role, ideally within a local government context, with significant experience in leading change and developing organisational capability.
  • Experience dealing with complex, cross-organisational matters and leveraging data/information as evidence for decision-making.
