About the Role:
You'll report directly to the Construction Manager, responsible for effectively leading teams of internal and external staff to deliver communications projects from our Hume office.
This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a natural leader who can positively influence the team and culture during a critical period of growth.
- Lead the successful delivery of fibre infrastructure projects.
- Effectively manage site compliance - WHS and quality.
- Allocate resources, including managing outsourced contractors to successfully meet project deliverables within time and to a high standard of quality.
- Prepare site instruction, equipment and documentation.
- Undertake regular project analysis to track project achievement and manage resource utilisation effectively.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
- Ensure all technical issues are effectively and efficiently resolved in a timely manner.
- Identify, evaluate and manage site/design risks.
- Anticipate project challenges and take proactive action to develop recommendations.
- Ensure ongoing compliance to applicable industry legislation, acts, codes & practices and QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Report project information such as risks, resourcing, schedules and progress.
- Build on existing and new relationships with staff and contractors.

Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role managing projects in the field in a safe and compliant manner and ensuring it's 'First time right'.
- Experience managing and leading internal and sub-contracted field teams.
- Previous experience in the rollout of fixed line or wireless projects.
- Previous experience quoting projects highly regarded.
- High degree of self-motivation.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to do occasional night works when required.
- Previous experience with using Simpro, or similar CRM an advantage.
Due to the nature of our business, you are required to be an Australian Citizen or hold an unrestricted working Visa. You may also be required to undertake a National Police Check.
