Occupational Health and Injury Prevention Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Injury Management Advisor to provide expert occupational health and injury management advice to our staff and people managers.
About the Role:
- Provide coaching and support to our staff and people managers on occupational health and injury management matters.
- Work with various teams to ensure fitness-for-work compliance, inherent requirement determinations, and reasonable workplace adjustments.
- Use allied health expertise to consider clinical discussions with treating health practitioners and review medical reports for work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Be the key relationship holder with case managers, early intervention clinicians, and oversee administrative functions to meet our return-to-work obligations.
- Partner with the business to apply health and wellbeing knowledge in procedure writing and reviews, identifying trends and implementing initiatives to reduce and prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and wellbeing programs to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Provide training and education to our staff on occupational health and injury management.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Monitor and report on health and wellbeing metrics and statistics.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and injury management.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health and wellbeing programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
