Job Description

We are seeking a talented Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the selection and sizing of equipment for optimal performance, troubleshoot and repair medical imaging devices, and support the assembly, testing, installation, and servicing of advanced medical imaging equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong interest in biomedical engineering and medical imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Select and size medical imaging equipment for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair medical imaging devices, including mammography systems, CT scanners, and densitometers.
  • Assist in the assembly, testing, installation, and servicing of advanced medical imaging equipment.
  • Use Tracmor or similar asset management systems to track equipment, schedule maintenance, and maintain detailed records.
  • Document service activities, including repairs, calibrations, and upgrades, to ensure accurate and accessible maintenance histories.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and technical experts to optimize device performance and reliability.
  • Observe and participate in quality assurance processes, ensuring all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
  • Assist in conducting training sessions or demonstrations for healthcare staff on equipment usage and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to evaluating and implementing process improvements.

Estimated Salary

$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
