Job Description

This is a pivotal role within our Midwifery department, focused on driving recruitment and retention strategies to bolster our team's strength.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of programs aimed at attracting and retaining skilled midwives, ensuring a stable and high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment plans to meet operational needs.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to design and deliver induction programs for new hires.
  • Work closely with the Head of Education to standardize post-registration education across the trust.
  • Contribute to policy development related to placements of post-registration preceptor practitioners.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting excellence in midwifery care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in group teaching and presentations.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
