Job Description

We are seeking skilled support workers to join our team in a SIL home in Warrawong.

This is a high-intensity setting that requires staff to manage heavy manual handling, challenging behaviors, medication administration, epilepsy, mealtime management, and 24hr shift work.

About your role:

  • Promote client choice and control, and show eagerness to participate in their day-to-day routines, goals, and interests.
  • Follow positive behaviour support and client care plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
  • Encourage capacity building to enhance clients' current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport, and accessing the community safely.
  • Provide personal care and manual handling with dignity and respect.
  • Be competent in computer/IT skills and report writing.

Some of our requirements:

  • A P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher and your own vehicle.
  • Working with Children's check, NDIS Workers check, First Aid, and CPR or willingness to obtain these checks.
  • Staff must be able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, requiring full working rights and a minimum of 4 shifts per week.
