Job Title: Calibration Officer

As a Calibration Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment.

  • Testing road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment to determine compliance with standards or client requirements is a key responsibility.
  • Recording details of tests, results, assessments, and observations is essential for maintaining accurate records and facilitating report compliance.
  • Preparing written reports of test results, assessments, and observations is necessary for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

You will be directly accountable for the test equipment used and the testing of road safety enforcement technology equipment in a cost-effective manner to achieve the Traffic Systems division's goals.

To be successful in this role, you must have basic knowledge of measurement and testing techniques, technical written and verbal skills, comprehension skills to read and understand technical instructions and standards, and interpersonal skills to work harmoniously within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Record details of tests, results, assessments, and observations for accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare written reports of test results, assessments, and observations for effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of time spent testing equipment for inclusion in monthly reports.
