
Ecological Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver rehabilitation, monitoring, biodiversity surveys, impact and offset assessments, and ecological management plans
- Conduct environmental analyses, research, and field surveys
- Write technical environmental reports, proposals, and tenders
- Plan and manage projects of varying complexity and scale
- Build relationships with clients while pursuing new business opportunities
- Work independently with guidance and mentor junior staff
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous consulting experience in biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting in NSW/ACT
- Significant field experience, including BAM and BBAM, ecological monitoring, plant species identification, and data collection and analysis
- PCTs and vegetation identification training and botany skills
- BAM Accreditation is highly regarded
- Experience in GIS, field mapping, and spatial dataset development and management
- Knowledge of NSW BAM and State/Commonwealth regulatory frameworks and policy
