The role involves supporting project managers and group managers by providing technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology. You will ensure that project outcomes meet both client and Stantec expectations in terms of profit, schedule, technical, and quality standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will include undertaking various duties in carrying out designs and studies for civil/geotechnical engineering projects. This may involve conducting site surveys, field investigations, and feasibility studies for proposed projects. You will also manage subcontractors and tasks within projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of project outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or a Science degree with a focus on Geology. You should have at least 2 years' professional experience in a commercial consulting or engineering environment. Additionally, you should possess solid technical knowledge of standard processes and procedures in the relevant technical field.

You will be responsible for producing calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure that technical design provides the appropriate solution. You will maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required. Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities by preparing proposal material as needed.

This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary, we offer flexible working arrangements, including purchasing up to 4 weeks of additional leave and provision for school term contracts. We also provide learning and talent development programs, mentoring opportunities, and income continuance insurance.
